CHICAGO - July 16, 2003 - RegistryPro, (www.registrypro.pro), the exclusive operator of the .PRO top-level domain, today announced its associate membership in the Liberty Alliance Project. The Liberty Alliance is developing a network and standards to allow identity information to be securely stored and shared among member organizations.

By participating in the Alliance, RegistryPro is positioning itself to embrace future changes in Internet communications by adopting a flexible, secure, and open online infrastructure. RegistryPro is creating a new way for professionals to distinguish themselves on the Internet. The .PRO extension is a new top-level domain currently reserved for use by attorneys, physicians, and accountants.

The goal of the Liberty Alliance is to enable a networked world where individuals and businesses interact using shared identity information, while respecting the privacy and security of that data. The Alliance is comprised of companies from various industries including financial services, healthcare, wireless equipment, telecommunications services, retail and manufacturing. The standards the Alliance is developing is intended to create a trusted community where member organizations can share a common or "federated identity" which allows users to link elements of their identity between accounts without centrally storing all of their personal information.

"The concept of 'federated identity' is an important building block for the Internet of the future," said Timothy Gelman, CEO of RegistryPro. "Being a part of the Alliance and adhering to its standards will help RegistryPro meet its goal of allowing professionals to communicate securely on the Internet. All professionals - whether they are doctors referring patients to a specialist, lawyers working with a client, or accountants using an external valuator - need to be confident in the security and privacy of their communications. The Liberty Alliance standards are an important step to providing the necessary peace of mind."

RegistryPro will work to incorporate Liberty Alliance specifications into its enterprise security products. The relationship will allow RegistryPro to develop a flexible yet secure identity management mechanism for its .PRO users.
